I love Valentines Day, although I rarely, if ever, have gone all out celebrating it… it’s just fun. I mean, if there is a day set aside for love, pink, red, candy, flowers, good food and jewelry – have at it! To me, it’s not just a holiday for couples though… feel free to spread that love far and wide!
This year, I decided that I would show a little LOVE to some of my favourite East Coast bloggers and feature some of their best Valentines Day posts here on the blog (and one of my own, because you know, self love is just as important!)
Erin from DIY Passion will show you how to make your own heart stamped art at: http://www.diypassion.com/2016/01/25/make-heart-stamped-art-valentines-day/
Gina from East Coast Mommy (aka the funnest Mom ever!) has more Valentines Day posts than I could imagine creating, so I’ll just include her entire roundup of 30+ Valentine’s Day ideas: http://eastcoastmommyblog.blogspot.ca/2016/02/32-creative-easy-and-inexpensive.html
Lori from Farm Fresh Style shows you how to style a picture perfect Valentines buffet & hutch (and I’m so going to do this when I’m done this post): http://www.farmfreshstyle.ca/on-the-hunt-for-love/
Chocolate covered strawberries should be the official food of Valentines Day (and I can still eat a few because they are pretty low carb!), and Colleen of Curtains are Open shows you how to whip them up at: http://www.curtainsareopen.com/2014/02/15/chocolate-dipped-strawberries/
If you are like me, a good portion of this weekend will be spent ‘helping’ make Valentines cards for about a gazillion schoolmates and friends. Laura from Valley Family Fun shows you how to make these ‘sweet’ sucker valentines at: http://valleyfamilyfun.ca/valentinesuckercards/
I have some sugar cookie dough leftover from Christmas in the freezer just waiting to be thawed, rolled and cut into heart shapes. If you aren’t as lucky as I am, Monica from Older Mommy Still Yummy shows you how to make these adorable heart-shaped cookies from scratch at: http://oldermommystillyummy.com/2016/02/sugar-cookie-recipe.html
Me, I’m all about the easy Valentines Day decor. Here is a post I did a couple years back with some cute and simple ideas to put a little love in your home: http://mmmisformommy.com/2014/02/easy-valentines-day-crafts.html
I hope you’ll show a little love to all of these bloggers by checking out their Valentines Day inspired posts. I’d love to know your favourite ways of celebrating the heartiest day of all, so gimme some love and leave a comment.
Happy Valentines Day!
