Cats definitely have unique personalities. I’ve lived with my fair share and can confidently say that no two were alike. Jasper and Regis, our feline friends at the moment, are the sweetest, nicest cats I’ve ever owned (or probably have ever known). Regis (Reegie) would let you do pretty much anything to him and never say a word. As long as he gets belly rubs and fed (like clockwork), he’ll be your best furry buddy.
Reegie has one or two annoying habits though, and both are bathroom related. First of all, he’s a long haired boy, so he needs maintenance in the form of ‘butt shaves’ every couple of months or things get out of control, to put it mildly. Secondly, he outright refuses to bury his business. Ugh. I’ve read that it’s a dominance thing (he’s older than Jasper, but we’ve had Jasper since he was a kitten, Reegie was rescued when he was around 4 or 5), but I totally think he’s just lazy. Luckily Jasper will sometimes step up to the plate and go bury it, but if he doesn’t, the onus is on me… yippee. Needless to say, any help I can get in the odour control department is appreciated.

Man, I wish that lighter cat litter had existed when I used public transportation and lived on the third floor with no elevator. Brent still doesn’t believe me when I told him I used to carry two, 40 lb boxes of it up to the apartment at the same time. Okay, I may have only done it once… and I probably made a few stops, but I did do it.
I have a $50 Arm & Hammer Pet Products prize bundle to give away to one lucky Canadian Reader. To enter, simply complete for the form below and good luck!
