Life achievement unlocked: Own a Dyson!
Dyson products have always caught my eye and their excellent reputation precedes them. I’ve spent the last month with the Dyson Pure Cool Link and it’s lived up to the Dyson name. Presenting the newest member of our family, Coolio. (Yep, you can name your products).
While I was initially more excited about just having a Dyson fan, the highlight of owning the Pure Cool Link has been the air purification. I grew up in the 80’s and everyone had these tabletop ‘air purifiers’ in their home and none of them worked. Coolio here automatically senses for example when we are making kettle popcorn, and goes into air cleaning mode and actually eats up all those yucky oil particles and smells from our home.
In the end, the cooling and improvement of air quality is all I really care about. There are however, so many cool details the Dyson Pure Cool Link can give you via the Dyson Link App that your inner tech geek will be in heaven.
For example, real time air quality (including temperature and humidity) reports, inside AND out…
Historical air quality reports in various graphical formats as well as how long before you need to replace the filter…
The ability to control your Dyson Pure Cool Link directly from your phone (the unit also comes with its own remote control that conveniently rests on top of the fan via a magnet)
We just leave the Pure Cool Link on Auto and let it do its thing. However, you can fully schedule when you would like it to come on and off should you desire via the app as well…
Pure Cool Link Highlights:
- Using the new Dyson Link App, users can remotely monitor the indoor air quality via their smartphone – even if they are out of the house
- When set to automatic, Dyson Pure Cool™ Link monitors, reacts and purifies – then reports to the Dyson Link App
- Filter has been pleated over 200 times, meaning it can trap 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns – including pollen, bacteria, viruses and ultrafine particles
- Three sensors in the machine detects the indoor air quality level, as well as temperature and humidity level
- Acts as a purifying cool fan in warmer months, purifies all year round
- Available as a tower and desk purifier
Availability: The Dyson Pure Cool Link™ purifier fan will be available in Canada on April 12th on DysonCanada.ca and late April in select major retailers.
Dyson patented technology: Using powerful Air Multiplier technology and an energy efficient DC motor, the Dyson Pure Cool™ Link purifier fan draws in air via a mixed flow impeller. The air is passed through a patented 360° Glass HEPA filter, containing 1.1 m² of constructed microfibers. This filter has been pleated over 200 times, meaning it can trap minute particles including pollen, bacteria, and ultrafine particles. Additionally, a layer of activated carbon granules traps odours and harmful toxins such as paint fumes inside the filter. Cleaner air then leaves the amplifier loop at a high velocity and is directed over an airfoil-shaped ramp. This way, a long-range stream of smooth, purified air is released into your home.
Size: The Dyson Pure Cool™ Link purifier fan is available as a tower and desk purifier. The tower is engineered to project purified air across larger spaces and is suitable for floor placement. The desk is suitable for desks and worktops, and is engineered for smaller rooms, with a tilt function for targeting purified airflow.
Automatic night-time mode: Dyson purifiers come with a night-time auto mode. Your machine will continue to monitor and respond to air quality while you’re asleep, but only using the quietest settings. And the LED display dims, so you won’t be disturbed.
Accreditation: The Dyson Pure Cool™ Link purifier fan is accredited with the Quiet Mark by the Noise Abatement Society.
“We think it is polluted outside of our homes, but the air inside can be far worse. Dyson engineers focused on developing a purifier that automatically removes ultrafine allergens, odours and pollutants from the indoor air, feeding real time air quality data back to you.” – James Dyson
Dyson you’ve done it again and I’m looking forward to adding to our Dyson family.
