Last Friday, Hubs and I enjoyed a much needed Date Night at Pair the Night – North American Flavours hosted by elements on hollis at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel here in Halifax. The exclusive dinner featured wines from Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, Washington and California perfectly paired with elements modern take on local classics. I’m no restaurant critic, but we had a fantastic evening. The food was great, as was the wine (although we learned we prefer the complete opposites of each other in just about every tasting), and the service, as always at elements, was outstanding.
Prior to the meal, there was a reception portion of the even which included a refreshing sake, vodka & mint cocktail and a number of delicious hot and cold appies, including mini chicken tacos and my favourite the fish and chips in a bite they had put together… so clever.

At only $65 + 15% gratuity and HST per person, it was the absolute best value you’d find in all of Halifax. Reservations were required and I can guarantee you that the next Pair the Night event will sell out quickly.
