Another year has flown by. Boston Pizza Kids Cards are available once again now until October 11th, 2015. For a minimum $5 donation to the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects, you’ll get a card valid for 5 free kids meals AND if you register your card online, you’ll get a 6th free meal as well – making it a $42 value ($35 if you don’t register).
I’ve already bought our card for this year, and will probably end up buying another to keep on hand before they’re gone – the cards are good until June 30th, 2016. We’ve been buying BP Kids Cards every year since Chelsea was 3; initially because it’s a super value and more recently because I’ve been learning where that donation money goes (and still the value, who am I kidding?).
I hope you will join me in supporting the best cause ever, our children’s futures.
A little background info for you. Last year, more than $670,000 was raised and this year Boston Pizza hopes to raise at least $730,000 for Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects with the 2015 Kids Cards program. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects which raises funds and awareness for organizations that provide kids in Canada with role models and mentoring programs. Partners include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, Live Different, JDRF and The Rick Hansen Foundation.
And the value.
And the great food.
Pizza will always be my favourite food ever, but with keeping my diabetes in check it’s not an all the time choice anymore. Luckily Boston Pizza offers me both awesome pizza when I want a treat, but also delicious healthier choices like the Baked Atlantic Salmon I enjoyed there over the weekend. Served with steamed veggies and salad and with only 16g of carbs (plus all that Omega-3 goodness), I was a happy camper when I tested my sugars that night.
Chelsea, on the other hand, is always content with her ‘usual’ – Slurpin’ Spaghetti, just butter and cheese, steamed veggies, white milk and caramel sundae – M&Ms on the side. The girl is nothing if not predictable.
Remember, the more Kids Cards that are sold this year, the more Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects can help kids from coast to coast reach their full potential. You can purchase your cards either online or in the restaurant, but only until October 11th.
