Boston Pizza is the first restaurant we ever took Chelsea to. Even when she just sat in a high chair drooling on her baby crackers while Hubs and I had dinner, she loved the place, and we loved how family friendly it was. To this day, if you ask Chelsea where she would like to go out to eat, Boston Pizza is always the answer; she even had a few of her friends there for her birthday party this year. I’m a Pizza girl (big surprise, eh?), Hubs is all over the Jambalaya Fettuccini, and Chelsea is always Spaghetti (meat sauce on the side, I dip my pizza crust in it), Steamed Vegetables and milk, although she will mix up her dessert choice from time to time.
We’ve been buying (multiple) Boston Pizza Kids Cards for a few years now. With a minimum $5 donation, you can buy a Kids Card either in-restaurant or online. Each Kids Card is good for 5 FREE BP Kid’s Meals, a $35 value.
To us, the BP Kids Card has always been about great value, and I didn’t even know where our donation was going. Now I do. The proceeds from the Kids Cards go to the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects. BPF Future Prospects is proud to support four charities on a national level: JDRF, Kids Help Phone, Live Different and Big Brothers Big Sisters. They also support various other charities both in and outside of Canada.
Every child has the ability to make a difference in the world, and at Boston Pizza we value how important positive role models and mentors are in a young person’s ability to reach their dreams. Through Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects and our partnering organizations, we will work together to ensure ALL kids have the opportunity to have a positive mentor or role model to help support, guide and empower them to become all that they can be.
I feel even better about all of those family meals we’ve enjoyed at BP now.
Have you ever purchased a BP Kids Card? They are available now through November 2nd, 2014 and are good throughout the coming year. They are also a great little gift to stick in a kid’s birthday card, so pick up an extra one (or two).
