When you come home with a 5kg bucket of Nutella from Costco, you’d better start finding ways to use it other than on a spoon… lest you get a reputation of sorts on Twitter.
I’m putting this out there right from the start – I’m not a brownie person. There are a gazillion treats a would grab ahead of one, but it’s Father’s Day weekend and hubby loves them. I do however, love Nutella, so there was some motivation to make these on my end too.
Line the bottom and sides of an 8″ square pan with parchment paper and spray the sides with non-stick spray or butter. In stand mixer fit with paddle attachment (or hand mixer), mix to combine the eggs, Nutella, brown sugar and vanilla. Mix on medium-low for about 2 minutes. Turning to low speed, mix in the melted butter alternately with the flour until all combined. Pour batter into prepared pan and baked in a preheated 325 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Let the brownies cool in pan for 2 hours before removing. Then use a knife to help release the two sides without parchment and then simply lift the brownies out by the parchment paper to transfer to cutting board.
Now I only have about 4.9kg of Nutella left to use.
